Stitches...

On April 3rd, Matthew and I were at our friends house playing games with a bunch of other couples and having a great time. It was getting late and we decided that we had better head home and take our babysitter home. While we were saying goodbye, my phone rang and it was a call from our home phone. It was actually a call telling us that Sage had cut her toe open and that she probably needed stitches. YIKES! We drove home and when we saw it, we could tell that she definitely needed stitches. Well, Math took Sage and they headed off to Goodnight Pediatrics, a children's instacare. Sydnee, Easton and I stayed behind to get ready for bed. Sydnee made Sage a special card to tell her sorry that she got hurt. Here is the story that the girls told us. I guess that they were playing around in their room and Sydnee pushed Sage and she cut her toe on the rough metal of the trundle bed. Matthew and I, plus a few others, know how it feels to get cut on the corner of that trundle bed. Ours were merely scratches, but they bled and hurt pretty bad. Anyway, Sydnee felt really sorry that she had pushed Sage, so she made her an extra cute card to help them both feel better. Sage ended up with 3 stitches and it was pretty painful to walk on that foot. She had to hobble around a bit and walk on the side of her foot for quite some time. Sage was pretty tough for the babysitter when she got hurt. She was bleeding pretty bad and it was all over her p.j.'s, but surprisingly enough, there wasn't any on the floor or the bed. Crazy! I just want to say thank you to Jacie (our awesome babysitter) and Kristie (her mom) for taking such good care of Sage. Jacie is our neighbor, so she was able to have her mom come over and check it out before they called us. Thanks again guys for being such great friends to us!
