Happy Birthday Matthew! I love you so much and I am so glad that I have you in my life. I love spending time with you. You are the greatest man and I don't know what I would do without you! Thanks for being such a great example and thanks for everything that you do for our family.
On March 21st we decided to check out the Arizona Renaissance Festival. When we got through the gates we spotted a fairy. The girls were excited and they went over to meet her. The fairy gave them a jewel and fairy dust. It was fun! Sage and Sydnee loved it!
There were so many cool things to see. There was a dragon castle slide that Sage, Sydnee and Dad went down. There was a line, but it was worth the wait! There were some jesters walking on stilts, many cool music shows, jugglers and other street performers, people dressed up everywhere and food and souvenirs around every corner. This was definitely an amazing place to visit.
Something that we were told that we had to try was the turkey legs that they sell to eat. Well, we couldn't pass that up now could we? They were delicious!!
One of the shows that we didn't want to miss was the jousting. We saw a royal parade on our way to the stadium. It was fun to see all of the fancy costumes. The jousting was pretty cool and our kids were definitely entertained. While we were waiting for the jousting to start, the sun was beating down on us and it was so hot! I was a slacker and forgot the sunscreen today. I felt so bad and I was really worried about the kids burning. Grandma was so nice and she offered to buy the girls some little parasols. She had to run pretty far to find them. We were so grateful to her for being so kind to do that. Even though the girls were already a little burned, the parasols saved them from becoming extremely fried. They are cute souvenirs to go along with the dragons that Grandpa bought them.
We stopped on our way out to take pictures in these funny cut outs. Sage and Sydnee had a blast with this! They thought it was so much fun! We were looking at these pictures the other day and Sydnee said, "Look, Grandpa is a hula girl" and Sage responded with, "No, that's a hippo". I was laughing so hard. Just check out the picture of DeMar alone and you will see why she thought it was supposed to be a hippo! Ha-ha-ha! Too funny!
We had a great day today. This was an adventure worth taking and one that the kids will remember for a long time to come! We are so glad that Grandpa DeMar and Grandma Patty could come down and spend time with us. The kids always have a great time when they are here. We are so glad that we could have fun and make memories together.
On Friday, March 20th, Grandpa and Grandma took Sage shopping for her birthday. She had a great time! Whenever she saw something that she liked she would put it in the shopping cart and then at the end she narrowed it down to her very favorite picks. She ended up with some really fun toys. They all had a great time together and made a special memory.
We went out to eat at Golden Corral tonight too. That is one of our families favorite places to eat. Sage and Sydnee eat really well there, because they get to pick out their own food and they know that if they eat well, then they can pick out some yummy dessert too. The girls had fun working on their new sticker books that Grandpa and Grandma brought to them. They sat with Grandpa and Grandma for quite awhile finding the right stickers to complete each picture. Thanks for the books and the fun! What a great day!
We colored eggs on Saturday night and had a great time doing it! The girls loved being able to pick their colors and be in charge of how long they left the eggs in the dye. I always buy an egg coloring kit for each kid to save us from any fighting. It works like a charm! Sage and Sydnee would have colored a million eggs, but the fun has to stop somewhere, so we just made 1 dozen. What a fun time!

I love Easter Sunday for many reasons. First of course is the spirit that is felt when I think of the sacrifice that was made for each and every one of us. I am grateful for our Savior Jesus Christ for loving each of us enough to die for us. What an amazing gift. I also love new Easter clothes. What a fun excuse to buy new outfits! I think that our kids looked adorable on Sunday. They are such sweet kids. I love them so much! The Easter Bunny must have known that we have church early in the morning, so he waited to come until we were at church. It made it so nice to be able to go to church with the spirit and not have kids that were on a sugar high. We were able to come home and enjoy the fun a lot more. Sage and Sydnee were so excited when they walked in and saw the Easter baskets on the kitchen table. We all got yummy candy and something fun in our baskets. The girls each got some flip-flops and a board game. Easton got the movie, "Madagascar 2". Matthew got the movie, "Lemony Snicket's - A Series of Unfortunate Events". I got the new Martina McBride CD. The Easter Bunny sure spoiled us this year. We had fun playing games, eating treats and just being together. We sure missed seeing grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles, but we kept ourselves entertained.

Matthew took this picture of me and the kids and I just love it! I didn't think that it would turn out because of all the patchy light, but who cares about the lighting when I can get such a fun picture with all three of my beautiful children. Too bad Math isn't in it, then it would be just that much better. Math, you told me that I was going to be pleasantly surprised and I'd have to say that I am! Thank you!
The girls and I played around taking pictures of each other. The whole family had fun outdoors in the beautiful weather. It was nice spending the day together!
Here are some other fun pictures to share. Sage and Sydnee made cute easter egg picture frames. I try to let them pick a craft each month that we can make together. We had fun and the frames turned out cute. Sage also made the bunny bag and the Dad and Mom easter name tags at school. She did a great job with those! Papa Bob and Grandma Cheryl sent the kids a fun easter package with shirts, cups and eggs full of candy. Sage and Sydnee were so excited! They love to get packages in the mail. They were thrilled with the surprises that they found inside. Thanks Papa and Grandma! The other picture is our easter baskets filled with fun things from the easter bunny. We were all excited about our special gifts. What a fun holiday!
