Jumping for Joy!!

These are some pictures that I took on the day of Sage's birthday party. I forgot to post them way back when, so I am adding them in just for fun! The picture of Sage that looks like she is screaming made me laugh. She wasn't really screaming, just being silly I guess. I'm sure that is exactly how she feels inside because her mom makes her have her picture taken every second of the day! We would hate to miss capturing every thing that happens in our lives! hee-hee We were being silly and taking some jumping pictures. Sage and Syd thought that it was fun! We love having fun and acting crazy!

Happy Birthday Math!!!

Happy Birthday Matthew! I love you so much and I am so glad that I have you in my life. I love spending time with you. You are the greatest man and I don't know what I would do without you! Thanks for being such a great example and thanks for everything that you do for our family.

Tiny Toes and Giggles

Sydnee was on the phone talking to Justice tonight and it was hilarious! They were talking and laughing so hard! I wish that I could remember some of the conversation, but I can't. All I know is that they thought they were pretty dang funny! I was taking some pictures of Easton with his tiny toes in his mouth and couldn't help but snap a few pics of Sydnee while she was on the phone. It was cute! Easton cracks me up too. He is turning into a busy boy. He loves to see what is going on in the world around him. He loves to play with his feet and sticks them in his mouth all the time. Silly boy! Just thought that I would capture some of our every day life.

Pictures, Pictures, Pictures......

Sage had spring pictures taken on February 27th and she looked so dang cute! They had their pictures taken against a green screen and then you could pick which scene you want to purchase for your child. There was a city skyline, a library, inside of a building, outdoors etc. Well, we didn't end up buying any, but her picture turned out really cute. I am posting the proofs at the end so that you can see them. What a beautiful girl!

Sydnee and I had a fun time taking pictures on March 29th. She was so cute all dressed up in pink and carrying her parasol. I couldn't resist taking a million pictures. She was in charge of her photo shoot. She led me all around the neighborhood and picked where she wanted to pose. She was even telling me which way to hold the camera. It was fun! What a pretty girl!

On February 27th I took Easton to have his 5 month pictures taken. He was a good boy. He got a little fussy, so I gave him a bottle and then he was ready to go again. He didn't really want to pose and smile, but we ended up with some cute pictures. I loved dressing him in his cowboy clothes. He looked so dang cute! What a handsome boy!

Is She Really Old Enough....

Sydnee started preschool on March 24th. She goes to Storytime Preschool. It is held at Skyline High School and it is run by the students. She was so excited to start school. She could hardly wait to get there and get started. This first picture was taken before school and she was freezing. I'd have to say that it shows on her face.

The teacher that runs the program is Mrs. Gorman. She is so nice and does a great job. Sydnee has two high school students that are her special helpers. Their names are Kayla and Elaina. Sydnee likes them a lot, but is a bit shy when it comes to talking to them. It was fun watching her on her first day. She didn't have a problem just leaving me and going to work on a fun art project. She was so cute! They gave her a name tag and she has her own cubby at school too. Sydnee is such a sweet heart and she loves to be a big girl and go to school. I am so happy that we decided to have her participate in storytime preschool. She is doing great and having tons of fun!

Target Shooting

After the renaissance festival we headed out for a little target practice. Matthew brought his new 9mm and I got the chance to shoot it for the first time. It was fun! My best shot was probably the first shot. After that I was anticipating the shot and flinching just a bit. I did okay though. Matthew and DeMar were pro's of course and the girls were so dang cute! We brought two air soft pistols for the girls to shoot and they thought that they were pretty neat. They shot at some cans and would get so excited when they would hit their target. Too cute! It ended up being really windy and hot, but that didn't stop us from having a great time!

Does this picture of Sydnee crack anyone else up, or is it just me? I have to smile and giggle every time that I look at it! She is such a hoot! Her shooting stance is one in a million!!

When we got home from our fun day, we let Sage open her birthday presents. Her actual birthday was on Sunday and our church started at 9am, so we thought it would be best to let her open gifts the night before. She opened her gifts from our family and a package with gifts from Papa Bob and Grandma Cheryl and the Page family. I loved how excited Sage was about every gift that she received. She smiled the entire time despite her painful sunburned cheeks. My poor little sweetie. I still feel terrible about forgetting the sunscreen.

The Arizona Renaissance Festival

On March 21st we decided to check out the Arizona Renaissance Festival. When we got through the gates we spotted a fairy. The girls were excited and they went over to meet her. The fairy gave them a jewel and fairy dust. It was fun! Sage and Sydnee loved it!

There were so many cool things to see. There was a dragon castle slide that Sage, Sydnee and Dad went down. There was a line, but it was worth the wait! There were some jesters walking on stilts, many cool music shows, jugglers and other street performers, people dressed up everywhere and food and souvenirs around every corner. This was definitely an amazing place to visit.

Something that we were told that we had to try was the turkey legs that they sell to eat. Well, we couldn't pass that up now could we? They were delicious!!

One of the shows that we didn't want to miss was the jousting. We saw a royal parade on our way to the stadium. It was fun to see all of the fancy costumes. The jousting was pretty cool and our kids were definitely entertained. While we were waiting for the jousting to start, the sun was beating down on us and it was so hot! I was a slacker and forgot the sunscreen today. I felt so bad and I was really worried about the kids burning. Grandma was so nice and she offered to buy the girls some little parasols. She had to run pretty far to find them. We were so grateful to her for being so kind to do that. Even though the girls were already a little burned, the parasols saved them from becoming extremely fried. They are cute souvenirs to go along with the dragons that Grandpa bought them.

We stopped on our way out to take pictures in these funny cut outs. Sage and Sydnee had a blast with this! They thought it was so much fun! We were looking at these pictures the other day and Sydnee said, "Look, Grandpa is a hula girl" and Sage responded with, "No, that's a hippo". I was laughing so hard. Just check out the picture of DeMar alone and you will see why she thought it was supposed to be a hippo! Ha-ha-ha! Too funny!

We had a great day today. This was an adventure worth taking and one that the kids will remember for a long time to come! We are so glad that Grandpa DeMar and Grandma Patty could come down and spend time with us. The kids always have a great time when they are here. We are so glad that we could have fun and make memories together.

What a Fun Day!

On Friday, March 20th, Grandpa and Grandma took Sage shopping for her birthday. She had a great time! Whenever she saw something that she liked she would put it in the shopping cart and then at the end she narrowed it down to her very favorite picks. She ended up with some really fun toys. They all had a great time together and made a special memory.

We went out to eat at Golden Corral tonight too. That is one of our families favorite places to eat. Sage and Sydnee eat really well there, because they get to pick out their own food and they know that if they eat well, then they can pick out some yummy dessert too. The girls had fun working on their new sticker books that Grandpa and Grandma brought to them. They sat with Grandpa and Grandma for quite awhile finding the right stickers to complete each picture. Thanks for the books and the fun! What a great day!

A Surprise Visit

On March 19th, Grandpa DeMar and Grandma Patty came for a visit. We didn't tell our kids that they were coming, so it was a fun surprise. The girls were sitting at the table and Sage saw someone pull up in front of our house and she said, "Someone is here mom". Both she and Sydnee ran to the window to see who it might be. It took them a second to realize that it was Grandpa and Grandma's car, but as soon as they figured it out, they were so excited!

Sage and Sydnee had a fun time playing with Grandpa and Grandma's hair. They used so much water on Grandpa that it was dripping down his neck and he was soaking wet. Good thing he was such a good sport.

They brought a special box from Jacob, Alison and Ben (our cousins that live in Las Vegas). Inside was this cute BBQ. Long story short, they ended up with two of them after thinking that one was broken and the company sent them a new one. Aunt Chrissy saw that we had a fun kitchen set in the girls room after seeing it in a picture on our blog and she decided that Sage and Sydnee needed a BBQ to go along with it. Thanks Bean!! The girls spent the bulk of the evening cooking strawberries on their new BBQ. They loved it and were so excited! It makes the cutest sounds and it has added tons of fun to our house!

Easter Fun!

We colored eggs on Saturday night and had a great time doing it! The girls loved being able to pick their colors and be in charge of how long they left the eggs in the dye. I always buy an egg coloring kit for each kid to save us from any fighting. It works like a charm! Sage and Sydnee would have colored a million eggs, but the fun has to stop somewhere, so we just made 1 dozen. What a fun time!

I love Easter Sunday for many reasons. First of course is the spirit that is felt when I think of the sacrifice that was made for each and every one of us. I am grateful for our Savior Jesus Christ for loving each of us enough to die for us. What an amazing gift. I also love new Easter clothes. What a fun excuse to buy new outfits! I think that our kids looked adorable on Sunday. They are such sweet kids. I love them so much! The Easter Bunny must have known that we have church early in the morning, so he waited to come until we were at church. It made it so nice to be able to go to church with the spirit and not have kids that were on a sugar high. We were able to come home and enjoy the fun a lot more. Sage and Sydnee were so excited when they walked in and saw the Easter baskets on the kitchen table. We all got yummy candy and something fun in our baskets. The girls each got some flip-flops and a board game. Easton got the movie, "Madagascar 2". Matthew got the movie, "Lemony Snicket's - A Series of Unfortunate Events". I got the new Martina McBride CD. The Easter Bunny sure spoiled us this year. We had fun playing games, eating treats and just being together. We sure missed seeing grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles, but we kept ourselves entertained.

Matthew took this picture of me and the kids and I just love it! I didn't think that it would turn out because of all the patchy light, but who cares about the lighting when I can get such a fun picture with all three of my beautiful children. Too bad Math isn't in it, then it would be just that much better. Math, you told me that I was going to be pleasantly surprised and I'd have to say that I am! Thank you!

The girls and I played around taking pictures of each other. The whole family had fun outdoors in the beautiful weather. It was nice spending the day together!

Here are some other fun pictures to share. Sage and Sydnee made cute easter egg picture frames. I try to let them pick a craft each month that we can make together. We had fun and the frames turned out cute. Sage also made the bunny bag and the Dad and Mom easter name tags at school. She did a great job with those! Papa Bob and Grandma Cheryl sent the kids a fun easter package with shirts, cups and eggs full of candy. Sage and Sydnee were so excited! They love to get packages in the mail. They were thrilled with the surprises that they found inside. Thanks Papa and Grandma! The other picture is our easter baskets filled with fun things from the easter bunny. We were all excited about our special gifts. What a fun holiday!

The Easter Pageant

We went to the Mesa Arizona Easter Pageant, Jesus the Christ, on Friday April 10th and we had such a good time. This was our 4th time going and it was just as good as the first time we saw it. The music is beautiful, the costumes are neat, the stage is amazing and the spirit is so strong. I am so glad that we can take our kids to see the story of Christ. They are able to better understand his birth, miracles, death and resurrection. I cannot help but cry as I think of how terrible my Savior was treated and yet he loves us all so much that he was willing to die for us. I love the true meaning of Easter and I'm so thankful that I can be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I am so grateful for the gospel and the knowledge that I can be forgiven of my sins and return to live with my Heavenly Father and his son Jesus Christ again. I love my family so much and I am glad that we could spend time together doing something so special.

When you go to the pageant you have to arrive a few hours early if you want to find a place to sit. We picked up some pizza and headed to the temple grounds to wait for the pageant to start. After we finished eating I decided to take the kids for a walk to help the time go by quicker. The only one who wanted to go with me was Sydnee. We had a great time walking around the temple grounds and taking pictures. Sydnee was a sweetheart and we had a great time together. We saw some friends from our ward too. Sydnee was excited to see her friend Macee.
