First Day of School - 2011

August 23rd, 2011 was the first day of school for our sweet girls! They were very excited and of course a tiny bit nervous. They picked out some cute outfits to wear, we got their hair fixed and they were ready to meet another school year head on! I'm sure that they were more ready than I was. I always have mixed emotions on the first day of school. I want them to go to school, because they have fun and it keeps them from getting bored around home, but I sure miss their pretty smiles while they are gone. It is good for all of us though and it is definitely time to head back to school!

We were up and at it and on the ball, so the boys got their new clothes on and their hair all fixed up and we took their pictures too!

We found the spot where Sydnee's class lines up and she got in line and was ready to head in. She looked so cute! Love this smart little cookie! Oh, the boy she is with in the top left picture is my cousin Candis' son. He is in Sydnee's class along with Justice. Two relatives. Fun stuff!



Sage saw a few of her friends from last year. I made them stand together for a picture. They are such cute girls. After chatting for a minute she headed off to get in line with her new class. She looked so cute! Love this little smarty pants!



The boys were so good this morning as we walked Sage and Sydnee to the back of the school and watched them head in on their new adventures. They are so cute and silly. I love their little guts!

Back To School Night

August 22nd, 2011 - Tonight was Back To School night at Snow Springs Elementary and we were very excited!!  It is always fun for the kids to be able to go and meet their teacher for the upcoming school year.  This year Syd is starting 1st grade and her teacher is Mrs. Zollinger.  Unfortunately Mrs. Zollinger's mom passed away and she wasn't able to meet her that night.  Syd ended up having a substitute for the first week of school, but she was able to adjust to all of those things.  I am glad that she handled it all so well. 

Sage is starting 3rd grade this year and her teacher is Miss Berry.  Sage was able to go into her classroom and find her desk.  She got to meet Miss Berry and she is excited about school this year!

All of our cute kiddos were decked out to go to Back To School night.  I thought that they should all have a picture together.  I love how it turned out.  We had such great kids.  Math and I are the luckiest parents in the world!

I am so glad that our girls have each other and that they will both be going all day this year together.  They are really good at looking out for one another while they are at school.  I am glad for that.  They are such good girls and they are growing up so fast.  I will miss them while they are gone to school, but I look forward to picking them up and hearing about their days.  I love them tons!

The girls love having their cousin Justice go to their same school.  This year it turns out that Justice and Sydnee are in the same class.  What are the chances?  They are excited about it and so am I.  I think it is cute that they are buds and that they get to be together in Mrs. Zollinger's first grade class.  Too much fun!!

Hair Cut Time

June 21st, 2011 - Today I decided that Tyce needed another hair cut.  I had given him a few trims before this, but never took the time to document them.  I refuse to wait until my baby is one to give them their first hair cut.  If I did that, then our boys would look like little girls!  This shaggy little hair was pushing for me, so I broke out the clippers and away we went. 



What a handsome boy!  He was so good for his hair cut.  He just hung out on my lap while I hurried quickly to get it done.  I didn't want to push my luck by taking my own sweet time. 

I love this sweet little face!!  Tyce is such a happy, sweet, snuggly, fun baby!  I cannot get enough of his cute little self!

Mother and Father's Day!!

I am so lucky to have the opportunity to be a mom and have four beautiful, sweet, amazing, wonderful and smart children. I love my kids so much! I think that they are all the very best kids in the whole world. I am so blessed to have the chance to learn from them each and every day. I want them to know that I love them more than anything. Thanks kids for loving me and for being so forgiving towards me. I had a wonderful Mother's Day. My favorite part was watching my kids sing in sacrament meeting. What a special gift. I also loved all of the sweet things that the girls made at church and school for me. They are precious treasures. Math and the boys gave me a newer photoshop program and I am thrilled to be able to work on my photo editing skills or lack of I should say. Thanks to my amazing husband too! He is the greatest! I don't know what I would do without him and his love, kindness and support. I love Math so much!!


We always love celebrating our Dad!! He is the most amazing Dad in the world! We are so lucky to have such a fun, kind, strong, handsome, funny, smart and responsible dad. The kids were super excited to give him the gifts that they had for him. Sage made a cool wallet at Activity Days for him with fake money and a credit card inside. Sydnee gave him some new basketball shorts and the boys and I gave him some chips, treats and the President Monson Biography. He was very grateful and excited about all of it. We love our Dad more than anything in the world. We are so lucky to have him!

Hippity, Hoppity, the Easter Bunny's on his Way! (Oh wait, he came months ago)

When we got home from church on Easter Sunday, I made our kids stop and get their pictures taken before we went inside to see if the Easter Bunny had come for a visit. They were pretty cooperative, but Tyce did not want anything to do with looking at me and my camera. These are the two best shots that I could get with all of them together. They are such cuties!

Easton's sweet tooth and love for the movie "Cars" was satisfied with what he found in his basket! He was one happy little boy!



Sydnee got her favorite movie "Tron" and the chocolate bunny that she was hoping to find in her basket. She was extremely excited!



Sage was so happy that the Easter Bunny brought her so many goodies and one of her favorite movies, "Tangled". Lucky duck!



Our Family - Easter 2011



We were invited over to Papa Bob and Grandma Cheryl's for dinner and an egg hunt on Easter. Grandma started us off with instructions for the hunt because she had fun eggs that each kid was able to search for. It was super fun!



We sent the younger kids out first to get a head start, but for some reason they stopped on the steps for a rest. They obviously missed the part where we told them to start hunting for eggs. Too cute! Who knows what Easton Thayne was crying about. He got over it quickly though and headed off to find treasures!



The Three Amigos!! Easton, Talon and Cardon are such great little buddies. They love each other so much. I think that they would be together 24/7 if possible. They are all such handsome and silly little guys.

We thought it would be fun to get a picture of Papa and Grandma with all 13 of their grandkids. It is always a challenge to get all the kids looking, but we did pretty good. The babies weren't too excited about it, but other than that it turned out pretty darn cute!! We had such a great day today. It is always nice to spend the holidays with family, but it is even nicer to slow down and take the time to reflect on our Savior and the sacrifice that he made for each and every one of us. I am so grateful that He loves us so much that He willingly gave His life for us. What an amazing gift and blessing in our lives.

Sage's Baptism

On April 5th, Sage and I met up with Jen and Bryson for a baptism photo shoot. We decided on the American Fork Tabernacle for our location.



As we were driving to the tabernacle, the skies were starting to get dark and I was beginning to worry that we wouldn't have enough time to get all of the pictures done. When we got there the wind started to blow a little bit. Jen and I were nervous, but everything turned out great. We just had to pick and choose our locations around the building according to the wind.



Sage was a perfect little model. She cooperated and was so willing to do anything that we asked her to do. She looked absolutely beautiful and her smile brightened up the gloomy day that was rolling in.



I love sweet Sage. She is such a great daughter, sister, grand-daughter, cousin, friend etc. She is caring and kind. We are so lucky to have her in our lives. Sage is amazing!

We had fun taking a few pictures of Sage and her cousin Bryson together. They were born just six days apart and have always been great buddies! My sister Jen and I thought it would be a lot of fun to have their baptisms together, not to mention a lot easier for everyone who would be attending from our family.





I love this yellow umbrella. It adds such a fun splash of color. By this time I think that Sage was getting tired of all the pictures, but she was a trooper and hung in there with a cute smile on her face.



By this time the wind started to really pick up and it began to sprinkle rain. There was no question that we would have to stop and call it good. This picture shows just what the weather was starting to cause. You've gotta love the wind blown look and the "get me outta here" smile. She was not happy when it started to sprinkle either. She was completely worried about her hair getting ruined. Ummmm..... she might get that from me.



Sage and Bryson were baptized on Sunday, April 10th, 2011. Sage was very excited about getting baptized, but she told me that she was a little bit nervous too. She tends to get a little nervous about the new and unexpected, but she always does great at whatever she sets her mind to.

Sage was very happy about having her dad baptize and confirm her. We are so glad that we have the priesthood in our home. I am so grateful that Matthew is such a good man who honors his priesthood and does the things that the Lord wants him to do. Our family is very blessed because of him and his righteous choices.



We had a family night lesson and talked many times about the importance of baptism and receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost. It was special to be able to spend time helping Sage prepare for this important step in her life.



Both Matthew and I are so proud of Sage and her decision to be baptized. We know that Sage will continue to CTR throughout her life. She is a very special daughter and we love her so much. I know that our Heavenly Father is pleased with her decision to follow our Savior Jesus Christ also. I am grateful that I was able to feel the spirit during this special occasion and I am glad that Sage was able to feel it also. Today was a very special day.

Sage was lucky enough to have both sets of grandparents, along with some of her Aunts, Uncles, and cousins attend her baptism. It is always nice to be surrounded by people that love you and I know that Sage is loved by each and every one of these special people.



Sage and Bryson asked Papa to give the talk on Baptism. He did an amazing job. He brought Sage and Bryson right up, front and center, so he could focus on them. It was so special.

After the baptism we had a little get together at the Young's house. (Thanks for offering up your home Patty) We thought that it would work out great there because it was close to the Stake Center and there was enough room for everyone. We had tons of yummy treats and enjoyed celebrating this special day with family. What a great day. I hope that Sage will always remember her baptism and confirmation. The spirit was there testifying that this was the right decision for her. Sage is definitely loved by so many, but most importantly, her Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. They are pleased, along with the rest of us, with all of the good decisions that Sage is making in her life. We are proud of you Sage and we love you so much!
