Sage is 5 years old!!

Sage is now a big 5 year old. She was such a cutie on her birthday. She wanted to have a camouflage party on her birthday, so we made her a camo #5 cake and a birthday sign with some camouflage on it. She was thrilled. Sage was so good about sharing her new toys with Sydnee. They had fun playing all day long. After Matthew got home from work we went bowling and that was a lot of fun. Sage can bowl all by herself. She runs up to the lane and rolls the ball with all her might. It is so cute. Sydnee can carry the ball by herself, but she needs a bit of help getting it to roll clear to the pins. After bowling we went home and had some cake and ice cream. That is always the best part about a birthday. We love Sage so much. She is growing up way too fast. She is constantly learning new things. She loves preschool and looks forward to going to kindergarten in the fall. She is a happy, sweet girl and we are so grateful to have her in our family.

Sage had a preschool birthday party too. We rotate houses, so I made sure that preschool was at our house just after Sage's birthday so that we could have a friend party. We had a "garden party." It was a lot of fun. Each of the girls got to plant a flower in a pot and take it home with them. They thought that was pretty cool. We played some games and of course had cupcakes too. The girls in the picture are Madlyn, Sage, Aubree, Cara and Sydnee.

The Mesa Easter Pageant

Tonight we went to the Easter Pageant at the Mesa Temple. This is our third year attending and we think that it is so amazing. Our girls are so cute when they watch it. They love to watch the story of Jesus' life. You have to go early to get a seat, so we brought pizza to eat, walked around the Temple grounds and got our picture taken with John the Baptist. The characters from the play walk around before the play starts. It is fun to see all of the costumes. Sydnee saw a soldier and said, "Mom, can you hold me, I think that I am going to be scared of him." It was funny. On the other hand, Sage was excited about seeing the soldier. We went over and shook his hand so that Syd could see that he was nice. After that she was obsessed with all the soldiers. We also loved the flowers all around the Temple grounds. It was amazing how good it smelled. I enjoyed the beautiful spring weather. Even with wiggly kids, big heads in your way and other distractions, somehow you can still come away so filled with the spirit. I didn't think that it would get to me as much this year because of the distractions, but as soon as they took Jesus and began to mock, place a crown of thorns on his head, whip and crucify him, the tears of gratitude began to flow. I am so thankful to my Savior Jesus Christ for all that he has done for me. I know that he lives and loves me so much. I am so blessed to be a member of his church and hope that I can share this joy with others through out my life. I love Easter and the spirit that it brings into our home. I hope that all of you have a great Easter!

Field Trip to the Fire Station

We went on a field trip for Sage's preschool today. We got to tour a fire station. It was a lot of fun! The girls got to squirt the fire hose and sit inside of the fire truck. They thought that it was so cool. My friend Danielle's dad was the fireman who gave us the tour. We had a great day. If only every day was filled with such fun adventures!!

We love horses!!

While we were in Utah for Matthew's work training, we got the chance to ride the horses and play in the barn at Grandpa and Grandma's. We thought that Sydnee would never ride a horse, but she proved us wrong this time. Once she was on, she didn't want to get off. Sage has always loved riding the horses and she doesn't like when it comes to an end either. They must take after their Dad and Mom.
