We were given the opportunity to go to Utah for Thanksgiving this year and are very thankful for that kind gift. We had a great time and as usual the girls loved flying on an airplane. The kids were all very good for the trip and we had such a fun time with both sides of our family. Of course I took tons of pictures, so sit back and enjoy the very long slideshows. This was the first time that most of our family got to see Easton and they all fell in love with him right away. I didn't have any trouble trying to find someone to hold him. He was usually in someone's arms getting kisses and loves from them.

These pictures are from the first two days that we were there and that included Thanksgiving. We were able to stay with the Melville's while we were visiting and are thankful to them for taking such good care of us. We ate Thanksgiving dinner with the Young's and also spent time with the Grace's that evening. Our kids had such a great time with all of their cousins. I only wish that they got to see them more often, but I am thankful for the times that they do get to be with grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.

The next couple of days were filled with a lot of visiting, playing games and playing with cousins. We had a great time with everyone! Matthew and I had the chance to go out to dinner with the adults on my side of the family for Corey's birthday. It was nice being able to go out on a date. We took Easton and of course he was the perfect little man. He is such a good baby. DeMar and Patty tended the girls for awhile and then they went up to Wendy's to play with the cousins and have a sleepover. Wendy is so good at keeping the kids entertained. They played simon says and read stories before bed. We got home just in time to capture these cute moments. I also had the chance to go visit Grandpa Grace and Kathleen. It was fun to take Easton over for them to see. I love my Grandpa and always appreciate his phone calls to check on me and my family. We had a wonderful time while we were in Utah and appreciate everyone for making it such a special trip for our family. We love you all!
I am so glad that my kids know and love Grandpa Grace. What a blessing it is to have him in our lives. He is an amazing example and I love him so much. I also love and admire my dad and mom a lot. I am thankful to come from such a good family. It was fun to be able to get a four generation picture with my dad and grandpa while we were up visiting.
We ended up having quite the adventure on our trip home. The kids fell asleep on the way to the airport because we had a late flight out in order to enjoy more time with family. When we got there, we had to wake the girls up so that they could help with the luggage. Well, Sage did really well waking up and helping, but Sydnee, being three years old, struggled really bad. It was a challenge to get the kids and luggage into the airport. Sydnee was crying and wanted us to hold her, but that was nearly impossible. When we checked in they told us that our flight was delayed for quite a few hours due to bad weather back east. Oh my, we were in for a long night. We struggled through the security checkpoint with our sad Sydnee, but we were pretty sure that the kids would fall asleep when we got to our gate. We got them all snuggled up on the airport chairs and they looked extra tired so Matthew and I were just waiting for their eyes to close. Well, that only lasted about one minute and then the girls were wide awake and full of smiles. Too bad Sydnee wasn't this happy 30 minutes ago. They decided that they couldn't sleep, so they did cartwheels, colored pictures, had snacks/drinks (provided by the airport) and went on a walk with Dad. Just as the kids decided to fall asleep it was time to board the airplane. So the second round of waking kids up began. When will these poor kids get to sleep? We boarded the plane and got the kids settled and one by one they drifted off and slept for the whole flight, but then round three of waking kids up began. Oh dear, will this ever end. We struggled to get our sweet, tired kids to the baggage claim, but when we got there the kids were so worn out that they got cozy and drifted off to sleep again. Let's just say that dad and mom were pretty tired too. Our good friend Krisite Eagar braved the wee hours of the morning to pick us up and we are so grateful for her friendship and kindness. We were going to take a cab home, but she insisted on picking us up even with the long delay. Thanks again Kristie. Well, the adventure ended and thank heavens we have such great kids. They did really well considering the circumstances and it wasn't anywhere as bad as I had anticipated. We are truly blessed with three wonderful kids who we love a lot and we are grateful that we were blessed to have survived the tiny challenge that we were faced with. It really wasn't bad, other than the lack of sleep.
