Happy Valentine's Day !!

I LOVE our sweet kids! They are so special and my heart melts whenever I look into their eyes, hear them laugh, see them happy and the list goes on and on. I cannot get enough of these sweet kids and I hope that they will always know how much I love them. I had to snag a few pictures of them on the day of LOVE!!



I have to crack up at all of my attempts to get a picture of all three of them together. This is about as good as it gets these days. Too funny! Easton is not amused if you can't tell.



I was excited to make a special dinner for valentine's day. I just wanted it to be all about the hearts/LOVE this year and I was excited to spend time with the people that I LOVE the very most!



Here is what our "fancy" table looked like and the kids with their very own heart shaped pizza's!



I had such a fun time making our heart shaped pizza and our heart shaped dessert! It is always fun for me to do things like this because of the reactions that I get out of my kids. When they think something cool and they get so excited, it makes me happy.



My friend Kristie shared this fun dessert idea with me. It was simple, cute and delicious!



Sage loved her note from dad and her cute new purse! What girl doesn't love those things?



Sydnee had a great time posing with her new purse and was happy about her note from dad too!



Easton loved all of the excitement that was going on around him. I'm sure that he didn't understand any of it, but he had fun with the fireman set that he got!



Sage also lost her third tooth on Valentine's day! What a way to end the day. She could hardly wait to see what the tooth fairy would leave for her!

A Happy Birthday and a Fun Surprise!!

HaPpY BiRtHdAy to me (2/6/2010) !!!! My birthday started off extra special with my kids and Math waking me up and serving me breakfast in bed! So cute! I was totally surprised and loved the delicious waffles that they made for me. I have the greatest family ever and I love them so much!



I always like to take pictures on birthdays if possible. I'm sure that I'll want to look back someday and see how young I was back in the day. :) I tried to get a picture with my cute kiddos. It was a struggle, but we were finally able to get one that at least showed all of our faces and nobody was crying. Whew, that was tough!



Sydnee and Sage are always in the picture taking mood, so I went along with their fun and agreed to be their "model". Sydnee was quite the photo shoot director. She would tell me to hold up the peace sign, hold my chin with my hand etc. etc. It was too funny! Too bad I could never be a real model. These pictures prove that! HA HA HA!! I'm such a goof!



My sweet friend Kristie planned a surprise party for me this year with a little help from my amazing husband who I love so much. I'll have to back up and tell the whole story though, so here goes. Matthew and I had planned on going out shopping and to dinner on my birthday and so we asked my friend Kristie's daughter, Jacie, to babysit for us. Math did all of the communicating with her and I didn't think anything of it. She asked if the kids could come over to her house to play and we thought that would be fine. Matthew took the kids over and it is funny because he offered and then made a joke that if I took them over, then we wouldn't leave for our date for another few hours. He mentioned this, because whenever Kristie or I go to the others house "just for a minute", it always turns out to be a "bit" longer than that. We love spending time together and what can I say, we can both chit chat and always have tons to talk about. I laughed and told him that he was probably right. Little did I know that it was really because I would have seen the preparations for my surprise party. :) Math and I headed out on our shopping date and had a great time just being together. I had something in mind that I was looking for, so we went to the mall and walked hand in hand just enjoying each other. Those moments don't come often enough, so I was enjoying every minute of it. I found what I was searching for and so we decided to head out to another store. By this time I was feeling a bit hungry and told Math that after the next store I thought that we should get a bite to eat. He just went along casually with my planning. When we got to the next destination, Math's cell phone rang and he was told that Easton was struggling, which wasn't a surprise to me because he was working on 6 new teeth. Matthew told Jacie that we would come and pick Easton up. I was a little bummed because I knew that it would be tough trying to go out to eat with our sweet little man when he wasn't feeling well. Anyway, when we got to the Eagar's to pick Easton up, they opened the door, we went in and SURPRISE!! Some of my friends and their families were there to celebrate my birthday with me. I was definitely surprised and loved that we could all hang out together and have tons of fun! I loved this party and enjoyed being surrounded by people that I love. Kristie is so sweet for taking the time to plan and prepare such a fun evening for me. I truly love Kristie and I am so thankful for our friendship. I am blessed to live so close to her and to have her as my friend/sister.



It is funny to think back now at a few things and realize what kind of sneakiness was going on, but I didn't think anything of it at the time. Kristie was worried that the surprise had been spoiled when earlier in the day her cute daughter Kylie mentioned something about me not being able to see my cake and Sage quickly, but full of panic told her that I wasn't having a cake. I just figured that Sage had told Kristie that I didn't have a cake and that Kristie must have gotten one for me so that my girls wouldn't be sad about it. Little did I know what the panic was truly about. Too much fun!

We had a BBQ with lots of yummy food and of course I had the cutest cake ever and it tasted amazing! I loved having my two best girls on my lap during the singing of happy birthday, because it helped me to be brave during my moment in the spotlight. ;) They were so cute helping me blow out the candles. I love these girls!

I am truly blessed with some amazing friends and I was able to spend time with some of them during my party. Back Row: Kristie Eagar and Amy Eastmond - Front Row: Leah Davis, Me and Sarah Stephens. I love these ladies! They are way too much fun to be around. I am seriously so lucky to have such amazing friends. I feel bad that some of these gals had to put up with me for two nights in a row! The night before this party, I was able to go out with a bunch of friends to the Cheesecake Factory to get some dessert to celebrate my big day. We had a blast! Leah had mentioned it before she knew about the party that Kristie was planning and decided that she had better follow through so that I didn't feel like she had forgotten about me. What a sweet friend to worry about me like that.



I captured some of the fun that the kids were having, but didn't get pictures of all of them. The kids had a great time playing together. We really need to do stuff like this more often. We all have great kids who get along and have fun together! It was so cute how excited all of the kids were about my surprise party. They made my day extra special. Life doesn't get any better than spending time with cute kids like all of these!



What a fun night!!! I really felt loved and spoiled. I was given some really sweet gifts for my birthday (even though none of you needed to do that!). Thanks friends! Our friends, Houston and Danielle were able to swing in for a minute at the end of the party. I was happy about that. Danielle's sister got married on my birthday, so they were down in Mesa and busy with wedding stuff all day, but it meant a lot to me that they took the time to come over afterward. It is always good to see them. Wow, what a long day for them. Thanks again everyone for all of your love and kindness. I am one lucky girl!

Choose This Day

I am really posting this for me so that I can watch it over and over again, but I hope that some of you might watch it and enjoy the message that is shared. I am always touched by the spirit as I listen to Henry B. Eyring speak. This was an amazing message and well needed during this time in my life. Enjoy.

I came across this at lds.org and I just had to share it. I was in tears as I watched and felt the spirit and love of these amazing young women. It is so nice to hear stories like this when often times all we hear is the bad that is going on all around us. I loved this story and I hope that you love it too.
